Why Trust Matters in House Sitting – And How I Earn Yours

When you open your home to a house sitter, you’re not just handing over a set of keys, you’re entrusting someone with your space, your pets, and your peace of mind.

As a house and pet sitter, my top priority is always to make you feel confident everything (and everyone!) is in safe hands while you’re away. Whether you’re heading off on a long-awaited holiday or away for work, my goal is to make your absence as stress-free as possible.

A Personal Approach

Every home is different, and so is every pet, which is why I take time to understand your routine, preferences, and any special quirks your pets might have. From medication schedules to favorite walking spots, I try my best to maintain your pets usual routine (or better!)

Before any sit, I offer a phone or video call (or an in-person meet-up if local) to get to know you and your pets. This is your chance to ask any questions, share concerns, and feel totally comfortable before making a decision.

Security and Discretion

I understand how important it is to feel that your home is safe while you're away. I’m security-conscious and follow any specific instructions you provide, whether that’s managing alarm systems, handling post, or maintaining a ‘lived-in’ look.

Discretion is also key. I never share photos or information about your home or pets online without your full consent. If you're happy for me to post the occasional cute snap, I’ll always make sure nothing identifiable is shown and check in with you first. And if you'd rather I didn't share anything at all, that’s absolutely fine too.

Professional, Reliable, and Fully Present

I show up when I say I will. I stay in touch while you’re away (as much or as little as you’d like). I don’t host visitors or leave the house for long stretches of time- I’m there for your pets and your property, not as a place to crash.

You can also rest assured that I’m experienced with a wide range of animals, from cuddly cats and energetic dogs to horses and even reptiles. I’ve looked after both standard and luxury homes, always with the same level of care and respect.
